  • We stayed for a weekend at the Inn and it was just lovely! The room accommodations are just as pictured – each room had a private bath. The house is stunning – just a real treasure to see the care and respect the owners have for the history of the house. The owners are treasures themselves and make you feel very comfortable. They are very accommodating and warm folks. Highly recommend!!

We just spent the weekend and loved it! The house is beautiful and in a great location, near a really nice bicycle/walking path. Georgie and Norm are exceptional hosts, so welcoming and friendly. We’d definitely stay again if in the area.

  • We just threw a surprise 80th birthday party for my mother at the Arrowston Inn, so I am reviewing this as both a guest who stayed at the house and the organizer of an event held at the Arrowston Inn. I cannot say enough good things about this place as a destination for a family event. To start with, for months, Georgia (the owner) and I have talked on the phone, with her helping plan the party. She took care of such details as renting 20 white chairs for us (she wanted to make sure that they looked classy as not to take away from the beauty of the house), ordering a corsage for my mom, making an incredible pineapple centerpiece, giving us advice about restaurants to cater (hint: The Caroline Restaurant in Troy was excellent), and making her own meatball dish for the party. Imagine my surprise when Dr. Armstrong (Georgia’s husband) helped park the cars and Georgia and her friend Shirley tended bar for us voluntarily!
We rented all 3 bedrooms of the house for a Friday and Saturday. The bedrooms were spacious with very comfortable beds. All have private baths with fixtures that look antique but function wonderfully. The breakfast was melt-in-your mouth delicious! We didn’t have time to swim in the pool, but it looked wonderful too. Many guests walked the bucolic grounds.
Lastlly, I would be re-miss if I didn’t suggest that you also rent out rooms at the other B&B in town- the Caldwell House B&B for the overflow. A very pleasant .9 mile away, this place was a 2nd home to the other half of our immediate family. The proprietors of both places know each other and help each other out. I could not believe it when I walked from the Caldwell House to my mom’s party at the Arrowston Inn and who answered the door and was directing guests but Debbie and the other owner of the Caldwell House?? Yes- that’s right- these ladies took it upon themselves to come and help with our party for free.
I would highly, highly recommend Piqua, the Arrowston Inn and the Caldwell House as a destination for a small wedding, family re-union, birthday party or other such event!!

We stayed at the Arrowston on our way to the east coast. What a treat! The building sits on a wonderful estate, adjacent to a beautiful swimming pool, once used by Johnny Weismueller ( Olympian and star of Tarzan movies). The house is a restored Neo-Georgian with gorgeous interior. In previous days, the place hosted notables such as Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Doc Severinsen, Bob Hope and Harry Conick, Sr. We stayed in the Sinatra room and it was huge- king bed, a/c, large Victorian bathroom, Seating area, ready access to the common area and refreshment bar. Breakfast was excellent- from Mimosas to fresh fruit w/whipped cream, fresh orange juice, egg and cheese casserole, biscuits, coffee, sausage bits and assorted condiments. Our hosts were both welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. The tour of the house was a highlight. We look forward to staying there again.
